Courtfield Private Practice Christmas hours
We will be operating normal opening times over the Christmas period. Except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day when we will be closed. There will also be no clinic on Saturday 28th December.
On the days we are closed, the out of hours private GP team, Concierge Doctor, are available to give telephone advice and do home visits. Their number is 0207 486 0701. Their number will also be on our voicemail.
May we take this opportunity to remind you that appointments can be made here – including video/zoom consultations for those of you who live outside the practice area or who may find it difficult to attend the surgery in person. Also please note that appointments with Dr Jill Harling are made by calling the practice reception and cannot be booked online.

Cases of flu on the increase
In the past two weeks we have been informed of an increase in cases of influenza A circulating in the community. It is not too late to be vaccinated not only against influenza, but also respiratory syncytial virus (RSV- please see the Autumn newsletter for further details) and pneumonia (both recommended for over 60’s).

Fees for 2025
We had hoped to keep our fees at 2024 levels, but the effect of the budget and costs being passed on to us by our suppliers mean that unfortunately our prices will rise to reflect this. Please see our Fees pages for our new fees.
Online prescription requests
We are currently reviewing our website and a new feature available early in the new year will be the ability to request your prescriptions online.
New Saturday doctor – Dr Krishan Joseph
We are excited to have a new doctor with us on a Saturday morning. Dr Krishan Joseph started working with us last month and is already proving to be a popular addition to our team. He lives locally with his wife (a paediatrician) and two young daughters. He sees all aspects of general practice with particular expertise in ENT and paediatrics.
From February, Dr Joseph will also be working all day on Friday.
Dr Sophie Ladbrooke on maternity leave
Sophie is now on maternity leave and looking forward to the birth of her son on January 3rd.
This is the second grandchild in quick succession for Tim and Jill, whose daughter-in-law Estefi (who is our practice manager) gave birth to a daughter, Chloe, on 1st October. Hopefully we are welcoming a third generation of Courtfield family doctors.
Please bear with Dr Tim Ladbrooke who is covering Estefi’s role of practice manager in her absence!
